Reverend Heck’s vision is to see the establishment of a vibrant, confessional Reformed church in Germany in order to spread the Gospel throughout the land anew. Publishing is also part of his larger objective in which to teach the people a Reformed Christian faith and worldview. He also seeks to provide training for future elders and church planters that is crucial for a movement of Reformed churches. Matthew Baugh’s family started Hope For La Gonave after his death. To date, there are five church schools operating where Matt taught and preached.
Our hope and prayer is that through this ministry children will be taught God’s Word and will become literate individuals who can lead and teach those that come after them from generation to generation and the “hopeless” children whom Matt wept over will no longer be without hope, but rather as promised in the Book of Jeremiah, they will know that the Lord has, “plans for their welfare and not for calamity to give them a future and a hope.” We know there is hope for La Gonave and for Haiti.
RUF SCAD - TE Martin Antoon
Martin Antoon is a teaching elder in the PCA who is leading a ministry at Savannah College of Art and Design. It's purpose is to reach students for Christ and equip them to serve. College can be an incredibly exciting time, but it can also be a time for many that is filled with difficulty, pain, or loneliness. Regardless of your beliefs or background, RUF at SCAD seeks to be a non-threatening environment to explore the truth claims of Christianity in community with others. In the midst of a time that can either be life-giving or harder than you expected, we want you to feel welcomed in RUF as a place to discover and enjoy the Christian life.
RUF places seminary-trained pastors on campus to minister God’s word in one-to-one, small group, and large group settings. It seeks to be an extension, not a replacement for the church. RUF is conscientious to not simply create a ‘spiritual bubble’ on campus for four years, but to equip students to follow Christ after college in the local church, workplace, home, and community. In the summer of 2019, Rev. John Gordy assumed the position of RUF campus minister for VSU. John and his wife Sarah have two daughters, Grace and Charlotte.

Living Vine is a safe haven for expectant mothers, new mothers, and their children. Their ministry helps to protect and assist those in urgent need in Savannah.
His Love Ministries serves those in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, prisons, jails, transitional centers, children’s centers, and treatment facilities. Every year we conduct thousands of church services and Bible studies in these places where people cannot attend church unless it comes to them. We do this all primarily in and around the Savannah/Chatham County, Effingham County, and Lexington/Richland County (Columbia/Lexington) SC areas. A detailed schedule of our services can be found on the Services page. Their goal is to reach the prisoners, the helpless, the outcasts, the shut-ins—those the world often forgets. We go to these people for three main reasons: to spread the gospel to those who need to hear it; to equip and edify those who know Christ as Lord and Savior; and to build relationships with those in need by providing joy, comfort, and security in their lives.
